If they get the chance, the Democrats should stack the court without apologies to anyone. This court sucks!

If Bernie wins the primaries "handsomely" but doesn't have a majority of the delegates, why should the party ignore the fact that a majority of the delegates doesn't want him? Suppose he has, say, 25-30% and a plurality. Why shouldn't they have a brokered convention? The party rules require the delegates to vote for their identified candidate only on the first ballot. Allowing "brokering" after that allows the party to try for a consensus candidate acceptable to the strong majority of 70-75% that didn't vote for Bernie but is now free to if they wish (which I agree is unlikely).

Is Bernie admitting that? I know that AOC has.

That's true and if Elizabeth concentrates on her current position endorsing Medicare by choice, a middle of the road campaign could be done. 2018 was healthcare, healthcare, healthcare.

The reason I originally suggested Warren being a compromise out of a brokered convention is that she is likely the only candidate the Sanders' supporters would actually work for. There's gotta be compromise somewhere or we really are fucked. I think there's enough repulsion to Trump that Democrats will bite their lips and compromise. Sanders supporters aren't Democrats and will need "special attention".
