The small govt. fiscal conservative is currently hibernating. Will re-emerge as soon as the next Democratic administration is sworn in.

Remember the GOP mantra:

Democratic debt: Spawn of Satan

GOP Debt: Best thing to happen.

Sometimes, reading and posting in here, I feel as though I'm the only sober person in a roomful of drunks.

The way I treat my watches, I have to minimize exposure of my expensive one to dress occasions. You have to realize to me this is subconsciously a $125 watch that I wore daily for over 20 years. It went through Army stuff such as the low crawl in mud, tanks and lots of banging around.

So you’re very right.

Mr. was gifted a Rolex in his early 20s. Working for BIL, look the part! It's a very high dollar, vintage watch…That he never wears.

I'm guessing your Rolex is approaching "vintage" status. Take it to a Rolex Dealer, have it cleaned/tuned up (NOT cheap) then get an appraisal. (You'd be surprised) Put it in a safe deposit box.

People that have known me for years know I have one. (I've had the watch longer than I've known my wife.) Those that don't, can assume whatever they want. If anyone asks, I tell people I got the watch when people knew Rolex as an excellent manufacturer, not because they cost $ 10K and have to show off.
