Well, it looks like MBS really drop kicked it this time. Investors are fleeing.

Quote

“What appears to be Saudi official complicity in Jamal’s disappearance, and perhaps death, sends all the wrong signals to the people and groups MBS needs to change Saudi Arabia in the direction he wants,’’ said Gregory Gause, a Saudi specialist at Texas A&M University.
Ya think? This little graphic speaks volumes:

Conservatives mount a whisper campaign smearing Khashoggi in defense of Trump
Pray for Trump: Psalm 109:8

"Science is more than a body of knowledge; it is a way of thinking. I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time - when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the key manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers arc in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what's true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness.

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

— H.L. Mencken
On Politics: A Carnival of Buncombe

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”

— Franklin Delano Roosevelt

So, it seems that he got into an argument and fistfight at the consulate. Very unwise when your opponents have a bone saw.

Also unwise when your opponents out number you... I'm sure though, he just ran into their fists.

Wait, the Saudi's official report is he died in a fistfight? LOL. That's pretty much on par with the dog ate my homework for believability. Or, you know, any string of words coming from Trump's mouth.

No doubt the fight was instigated by the excessive alcohol consumption endemic at the Embassy.

Now, it is reported, the head of the CIA has listened to the Turks' audio of the killing of Khashoggi and the Saudis are admitting the killing was premeditated. Our president criticizes an incompetent coverup. Jared doesn't have much to say.

So the UK knew Riyadh planned to kidnap Khashoggi because he was about to expose the Saudi use of Chemical weapons. https://www.express....cal-weapons-use

But Trump had no idea? Sounds like he was complicit in not preventing Kgashoggi's murder.

Maybe our intelligence services weren't able to inform him with simple enough words, pretty enough pictures, and enough references to Him so he didn't pay attention.

He has to see dead people, have Ivanka tell him how awful it is, and learn that Obama did nothing about it before he acts against chemical weapons. He'd then order bombing of a remote corner of an air field after first informing the Saudis of his intent.

Trump knows no bottom to his well of depravity. In his dictatorial zeal to protect his "friends" (i.e. the governments that put money in his pocket) he is willing to consider doing anything.

Quote

What a doozy this one is.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering extraditing a controversial Turkish cleric to ease pressure on Saudi Arabia over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul, NBC reports.

Among the many problems with the purported plan: Career U.S. officials are having none of it.

“At first there were eye rolls, but once they realized it was a serious request, the career guys were furious,” NBC quotes an unnamed official as saying.

The extradition request concerns Turkish cleric Fetullah Gulen, a U.S. green card-holder residing in Pennsylvania that the Erdogan government has portrayed as a mortal enemy of the Turkish state.

NBC reports that Trump officials directed the Justice Department and FBI to reopen a Turkish extradition request for Gulen “in order to placate Turkey over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.”

Gulen is not the only Turk whose fate may be traded away in a bid to ease tensions.

NBC reports that the release of Turkish banker Mehmet Hakan Atilla, who is serving a 32-month sentence in federal prison for trying to evade U.S. sanctions on Iran, is also under consideration.

Erdogan has called the Atilla case “a political attack” and demanded his release. Trump and the Turkish leader discussed extraditing Atilla as another way to improve relations, NBC reports.

The Trump Administration did not offer an explanation for why the U.S. is apparently undertaking an effort to smooth over relations soured by a Saudi-orchestrated murder.

Michael Flynn, the National Security Adviser-turned-felon, admitted to lobbying on Turkey’s behalf in his guilty plea, revealing that he had been involved in a plan to smear Gulen.

The Trump Organization continues to accept millions from foreign governments.

The CIA says Salman ordered the Khashoggi assassination (according to the Washington Post via Huffington Post).
How long does Gina Haspel keep her job?
How long does that Turkish pastor get to stay in the states and keep his head?

The Trump family's relationship with Saudi Arabia would be another excellent thing for the House to start looking into.

And the CIA has fingered MBS for sure.

Quote

The Central Intelligence Agency has concluded that the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, ordered the killing of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to American officials.

The C.I.A. made the assessment based on the crown prince’s control of Saudi Arabia, which is such that the killing would not have taken place without his approval, and has buttressed its conclusion with two sets of crucial communications: intercepts of the crown prince’s calls in the days before the killing, and calls by the kill team to a senior aide to the crown prince.
What a surprise.
