Grifters still gotta' grift.

Quote

Former Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore is raising money for his legal defense fund by using the Washington Post’s recent Pulitzer Prize win for investigative journalism—which the paper won for its reporting on Moore’s alleged past of sexual misconduct.

“The Washington Post just won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for their lies and slander against me and my family,” a fundraising email sent on Friday read. “Meanwhile, I’m being sued for standing up and defending myself and my family from the ruthless lies and attacks.”

The email goes on to ask the recipients to donate money to assist Moore in his “fight against the forces of evil.”

Leigh Corfman filed a defamation suit against Moore in January, after he attempted to discredit her accusations aired during his failed campaign that he sexually touched her when she was 14.

I hope she breaks him.

Roy Moore's new plan sounds like it's to run for governor. I guess time will tell if the residents of Alabama are really that dumb. I don't hold out much hope.

Quote

Roy Moore refuses to go away.

The former Alabama judge and dumpster fire of a Senate candidate sent out a statement on Thursday saying that he might run for statewide office in Alabama once again.

“If the opportunity arises to make a difference, I will have no reluctance to again run for political office, including that of Governor,” he said in a statement.

Those remarks come after Moore’s Senate bid went down in flames last fall amidst accusations from multiple women of sexual misconduct — including many who said the incidents took place when they were teenagers.

It’s hard to see Moore even winning a primary in the ruby-red state — but his diehard supporters stuck with him through the last race, and might do so again in spite of his tremendous political baggage.

In other words, "uh, uh, you twisted my arm." I can't believe this child molesting, panhandling, Constitution hating religious freak isn't going to give it a shot if people give him enough money to make a go of it.

Publicly exposed pedophile Roy Moore is attacking some of his accusers by filing suit in court. (So much for turning the other cheek.) Every judge in the county has recused themselves from the case. At least one sounds like they have a legitimate reason but I wonder how many of the others are just political cowards.

Quote

All six judges in an Alabama county have recused themselves from presiding over the lawsuit filed by failed U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore against some of the women who accused him of sexual misconduct.

News outlets report Etowah County’s four circuit judges and two district judges filed recusals with interim Alabama Chief Justice Lyn Stuart on Monday, a week after Moore filed a political conspiracy lawsuit.

The judges’ recusals cite two reasons. Circuit Judge David Kimberley is a member of the state Judicial Inquiry Commission that suspended Moore as Alabama chief justice in 2016, effectively removing him from the high court over his refusal to adhere to a federal court ruling permitting same-sex marriage. The other reason concerns Moore’s former position as a Sixteenth Judicial Circuit judge in Etowah County.

It's Alabama, they're all related to the women in the case.

My very first impression of Alabama was shall we say, not the best. We'd just crossed over the border from Florida to Alabama, on our way to Fort Morgan and the Hummer Bird Study Group. In the gas station there was a sign reminding people that "Driving off without paying is against the law."

They gotta remind people there that stealing is illegal?

Grifter Roy Moore continues grifting. Hey, Roy. You think maybe your "extreme emotional distress" comes from your own guilt? Yeah, me neither. You're just worshipping your god, money, in your own way.

Quote

Former Alabama senatorial candidate Roy Moore is suing actor Sacha Baron Cohen, CBS and Showtime for “extreme emotional distress” after an episode of Cohen’s show that implied that Moore is a pedophile, according to a Wednesday Washington Post report.

In the July 29 episode of “Who is America?” Cohen pretended to be an Israeli anti-terrorism expert who used a security wand to detect pedophiles. When Cohen waved the wand over Moore, it beeped loudly. The cringe-worthy charade went on for a few minutes before Moore ended the interview and left.

Now, Moore wants to exact revenge.

“Sacha Baron Cohen, who is not only low class but also a fraudster, will now, along with Showtime and CBS, be held accountable for his outrageous and false, fraudulent and defamatory conduct which callously did great emotional and other damage to this great man and his wife and family,” said Larry Klayman, who is representing Moore in the case.

Cohen has duped plenty of other conservative figures on his show, including Sarah Palin and Corey Lewandowski.

Alabama wants to regain its #1 whack job status. Guess who’s coming back to the altar of grift...

WASHINGTON — Former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore is leading the Republican field vying for the party’s 2020 nomination to challenge Sen. Doug Jones, the Democrat who beat Moore in 2017, according to a survey released Tuesday.

If you've got public schools paid for by taxpayers, you're in a socialist nation. If you have public roads paid for by taxpayers, socialist nation. If you've got public defense (police, fire, military, coast guard) paid for by tax dollars, socialist nation. If you're in a nation that has nationalized or localized delivery of services that are not paid for by users alone, you're in a socialist nation- the only question is how socialist. As I see it, we have the military pay to protecting the shipping lanes for our fuel needs which makes up very socialist. In a capitalist nation, the people supplying the oil would pay for their own defense force.

If by chance Buttigieg is on the presidential ticket, leading or as VP, expect Moore's candidacy to be all about a Last Stand for Christianity before it's lost to Satan. And don't forget to bring all your guns to the battle.

I think Satan would have a hard time figuring out who is on his side; Buttigieg or a guy who touches girls without permission.

I don't think so at all. Buttigieg ain't Satan's type. The holier than though perverts and grifters are right up his alley.

If you can judge a person by the company they keep then it's clear both Roy Moore and his lawyer are scumbags. There is something very wrong with these two. I suspect there is a lot wrong with the circles they run in as well.

Quote

The lawyer who went on cable TV to defend Roy Moore against allegations that he sexually assaulted teen girls when he was in his 30s was arrested on drug charges Wednesday night, AL.com reported.

Trenton Roger Garmon was arrested by the Gadsden, Alabama, police and charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to jail records. His bond was listed at $3,000.

Garmon worked for Moore during his Senate bid in 2017 as allegations surfaced that Moore sexually pursued teens when he was in his 30s and sexually assaulted at least one 16-year-old girl. Garmon notably went on MSNBC to defend Moore “dating” teenagers, making the befuddling argument that arranged marriages with younger girls exist in other parts of the world.

Quote

He was also brutally shut down by CNN’s Don Lemon.

— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) November 11, 2017

“Hey Don Lemon squeezy, keep it easy,” Garmon, for some reason, told Lemon during the interview in November 2017.

“It’s just Lemon,” an unamused Don Lemon responded. “My mom didn’t name me — hold on — my mom didn’t name me Don Lemon keep it easy squeezy. It’s just Don Lemon. Go on.”

“I got you, man,” Garmon said.

Garmon also got himself into hot water in the same month when he awkwardly tried to defend Moore by saying cultural norms around the age of consent vary around the world. In doing so, he referred to MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi’s diverse background, drawing immediate rebuttals from Velshi’s co-host Stephanie Ruhle. Velshi hails from Canada, and was born in Kenya.
