What kind of mad, topsy-turvy country are we living in when bigotry doesn't pay?

On Thursday, Bayer announced that they would stop advertising on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s and Laura Ingraham’s shows.

The move comes after the shows unprecedented use of racist and derogatory language. Both shows have pushed conspiracy theories and made bigoted remarks about immigrants.

The move was announced on Twitter via Popular information. Read the thread below.

SHOCKING! Nah, I'm just effin' with ya'. This is soooo totally expected from the Trump Propaganda Network.

Quote

One month after Joe Biden announced his run for president, several Fox News stars have already begun quietly pushing rumors that the 76-year-old ex-veep is in poor health.

Since the end of May, Fox Business Network and Fox News star Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery and Fox News prime-time host Sean Hannity have speculated on-air, on at least four separate occasions, that the current Democratic presidential frontrunner is secretly dealing with health issues, often comparing his condition to illness-related conspiracy theories the network pushed about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

The Biden rumor-mongering seemingly began May 29, during the broadcast of Fox News’ afternoon gabfest The Five. While assessing Biden’s candidacy, Kennedy claimed to know Democratic operatives engaged in a whisper campaign about Biden’s health.

“He is much more like Hillary Clinton, because if you talk to Democrats, who are working for different campaigns, all of the aggressive gossip whisperers—and this is where the action is happening in terms of opposition research—it’s people having a few drinks at a bar and whispering, ‘You know there is something wrong with the former vice president,’” she claimed. “But that’s what they are actively doing right now. And it is surprising because they are concerned with taking Biden down and getting their candidate out there.”

Co-host Jesse Watters, an avid Trump booster, pressed Kennedy to elaborate. “Don’t do it,” co-host Greg Gutfeld joked to Kennedy, acknowledging the danger in openly speculating about Biden being sick.

The innuendo seemed to go over the head of Watters, however, as he took it upon himself to explain “the gossip” about Biden as involving his support from black voters. Gutfeld laughed, remarking: “I don’t think that’s what Kennedy meant.”

“I was thinking more along the lines of Hillary Clinton having a lumpy overcoat in 85-degree weather,” Kennedy explained, invoking a popular 2016 right-wing conspiracy theory fixated on a photo of Clinton wearing a wool jacket with a lump on the back while campaigning in warm weather.

“He looks healthy to me,” Watters—surprisingly—replied.

Sometimes you just have to go back to the well.

Quote

Fox News host Tucker Carlson dipped into a far-right conspiracy theory about conservative bogeyman billionaire George Soros on Monday night.

Carlson and his guest, U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain, first railed against Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner for his criminal justice reform efforts, which they claimed were part of his “radical pro-defendant ideology.”

Then Carlson blamed Soros, who supported Krasner’s election, of “hijacking our democracy.”

“I think that people don’t really understand the degree to which George Soros is successfully remaking this country and they should understand,” the Fox host said.

“I’m glad that you’re raising awareness about it,” McSwain replied.

“Yeah, we’re trying! And Soros has effectively intimidated people into not criticizing him,” Carlson lamented. “Some kind of moral crime to call this to public attention, but it is in the public’s interest to know, and so we are.”

Hannity and Ingraham, who in the past have claimed to not be part of the Trump campaign or administration, are floating the idea of spending a week as the special guest White House press secretary. And the staff at The Onion wept.

Quote

With White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders now due to step down at the end of the month, Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham have started tossing around the idea of serving as the president’s press secretaries for a week.

During the hand-off between the two pro-Trump cable news stars’ shows on Thursday night, Ingraham said she “got a little teared-up” watching Thursday’s White House event where Sanders confirmed her departure and said the job had “truly been something I will treasure forever.”

Hannity, for his part, suddenly recalled reports that Ingraham herself had been considered for press secretary after Trump’s election and again in 2017.

“I mean, now you’re putting me in the hot seat here, Hannity!” she responded.

Amid the ensuing cringeworthy banter, Ingraham floated the idea of Hannity sharing the job of press secretary with her.

“Wouldn’t it be fun if you and I could tag team, for one week, in the White House briefing room,” she said. “Just for a week. That would be fun.”

Hannity, who has been described as the White House shadow chief of staff, laughed as he warned of the “dumb question” about to cross his lips: What if the two of them could get “special permission” to run briefings together temporarily?

“What?! OK,” a giggling Ingraham responded.

Hannity concluded by claiming “there might be a few newspeople” that would be a bit angry over the two of them running the White House press shop.

Those two won't leave Fox's cushy embrace. If they know Trump at all, they should know they don't want to be around him all day every day. They can make plenty of money on the talking circuit and book selling circuit without being on Trump's staff.

Why would you ever think they'd leave the Fox payroll if they worked directly for Trump?

They're furiously slaughtering pigs to get them to market before they come down with the latest porcine pandemic -- which is going like lightning through Chinese pig farms.

Which is why I take objection to the headline 'Trump tariffs crush U.S. pig farmers'. The author either never researched the actual situation or deliberately omitted mentioning that cold storage is running out. China can normally never meat pork production needs, but as you say, right now they are slaughtering to control the epidemic. We are so used to being told what to think from the headline down, it is maddening. Writers should reveal if they have a financial interest in promoting a view. There I go day dreaming again.
There is not much in the news here but if they dwelt on the epidemic EVERYBODY would rush out and stock up with pork and there would be massive profiteering - as happened when the rumor spread that iodized salt was necessary for protection against thyroid cancer. The people that started the rumor were found to be salt suppliers, fancy that.

Fox News Host Says We Shouldn’t Care About Border Separation Because “These Aren’t Our Kids”

Proof that you not only need to know your audience but also who is in the background of your broadcast.

Quote

A Fox News journalist giving a live broadcast in a sports bar in France didn’t go unnoticed by the Americans who were right there with him on Sunday.

Fox News correspondent Greg Palkot was reporting from a sports bar in Lyon, France, where jubilant Americans were celebrating U.S. national women’s soccer team’s victory in the Women’s World Cup.

Palkot began with “We are here in a sports bar in Lyon, France–” before he was promptly cut off by the crowd’s chants of “Fuck Trump! Fuck Trump!”

Palkot tried to speak over the yelling, which lasted over ten seconds.

A few minutes later, the reporter spoke to random members of the crowd how they felt about the game.

“Did you have any doubt that they would lose?” Palkot asked the man who started the chants (it’s unclear if Palkot knew he had done so).

“None, none whatsoever,” the man responded. “Now we need to win in 2020. Democrats!”

“USA Democrats!” a woman wrapped in an American flag cheered.

“Get that racist out of the White House!” the man yelled into Palkot’s mic.

For his part, Palkot seemed to take it all in stride.

“They are very happy,” he said with a smile. “It’s a political thing too, as you can see.”

Mayor Pete pegs the Republicans. Faux News is now "AAAAH!!!! SCARY SOCIALISTS!!!!!" 24-7.

Quote

During Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential primary debate, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg declared that it is time for Democrats to “stop worrying about what the Republicans will say” because no matter what agenda they embrace, “they’re going to say we’re a bunch of crazy socialists.”

Following the debate, a number of conservatives and Republicans on Fox airwaves have already gone out of their way to prove the mayor right.

Discussing the debate Tuesday evening on The Ingraham Angle, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani suggested that former Vice President Joe Biden—who is participating in Wednesday’s debate— may have gotten a boost from the debate before, of course, painting the Democratic field as socialist.

“I think Biden probably gains tonight if he can have a decent performance tomorrow night,” he told host Laura Ingraham. “He is the one that naturally people would think of as a moderate, but Biden has been running to pretend that he can out-socialist all of them.”

The following hour, Fox News anchor Shannon Bream welcomed Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to weigh in on the debate. It didn’t take long for the RNC head to invoke socialism.

“What you saw from the Democrats tonight is the total socialist plan, takeover of all of our health care with this proposal from Medicare for All,” she groused. “They didn’t know how to pay for it. They were dishonest about the fact that it was would raise taxes on every single American.”

The following morning, meanwhile, Fox Business Network anchor Stuart Varney kicked things off on Varney and Co. by mockingly brushing off the notion that there were any centrist candidates on the stage the night before.

“Now, the political story of the day, very obviously, the debates,” he declared. “The socialists, Sens. Warren and Sanders, emerged as the clear front-runners, at least for last night. So-called moderates, Klobuchar, Mayor Pete, Delaney, Bullock and Ryan, had very little impact. Beto all but disappeared. Last night, socialism rules!”

Later on in the program, Fox News contributor Doug Schoen agreed with Varney that the party is “moving hard left and socialists rule the day,” adding that self-described Democrats like himself traditionally “don’t share socialist principles” and he can’t support Sanders, Warren or “their ilk.”

The most glaring example, however, was a Wednesday morning interview with Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) during Fox News’ America’s Newsroom.

America's Pravda continues it's cozy relationship with the Republican wannabe' dictatorship.

Quote

Newly uncovered emails between Fox News and President Donald Trump’s Treasury Department reveal a cozy relationship between the conservative news network and the Trump administration.

The Hollywood Reporter got ahold of the emails on Thursday, which mostly included the Treasury’s correspondences with Fox, but also at least one with the far-right media organization Breitbart.

Many of the exchanges were to and from former Fox contributor Tony Sayegh, who served as the Treasury’s assistant secretary for public affairs until May.

In the emails, a Fox Business Network reporter corresponded with Sayegh to offer his thoughts the Trump administration’s sought-after tax cuts in 2017.

“Take the BIG TAX CUTS NOW…a long-term deal with small cuts is useless,” Fox Business Network host David Asman wrote to Sayegh on April 25, 2017. “NOTHING IS PERMANENT IN WASHINGTON. Big tax cuts now give the economy the push it needs.”

The Treasury staffer responded by thanking Asman for “these thoughts,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The Fox Business host told Sayegh several days later that a large portion of one of the network’s programs would be dedicated to discussing Trump’s tax proposals, to which Sayegh responded, “You’re the man.”

Breitbart economics editor John Carney reached out to Sayegh on August 29 that same year asking for “a few good details” on the tax policies “to counter stuff MSM is already churning out to attack POTUS.”

“Will see what we can do,” he replied.

The cozy exchanges recall similarly friendly contacts between former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Fox host Sean Hannity, during which Manafort thanked Hannity for his flattering coverage of Manafort’s criminal case.

Fox News representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
