Florida bufo (cane) toads invade South Florida.

Quote

Bufo toads secrete a toxic milky substance from their heads when they are handled or threatened. It can burn eyes, irritate skin and pose a serious danger to cats and dogs if the toads are ingested, the university said.

Uh, just out of curiosity, is Trump's firstborn Eric, Donald Jr., or Ivanka?

With biblical plagues, it's always the first born SON that matters. So Don Jr. is the one on the hit list.

Not first born son-in-law? Seems a shame to give Jared a pass...

If things go right, the locusts will take care of anything green thereby starving the toads.

The ten plagues of Egypt were blood, frogs, gnats and lice, flies, diseased livestock, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the death of the firstborn

As many of us did, I watched Frazier a lot. One line spoken by Niles has always been good for blank stares from (most) people. the dialogue:

Frazier: Lilith is in town.

Niles: That explains the blood from the faucets

I used this line when someone would say "XX Supervisor is in the building."
Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

If you've got public schools paid for by taxpayers, you're in a socialist nation. If you have public roads paid for by taxpayers, socialist nation. If you've got public defense (police, fire, military, coast guard) paid for by tax dollars, socialist nation. If you're in a nation that has nationalized or localized delivery of services that are not paid for by users alone, you're in a socialist nation- the only question is how socialist. As I see it, we have the military pay to protecting the shipping lanes for our fuel needs which makes up very socialist. In a capitalist nation, the people supplying the oil would pay for their own defense force.

I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Cane Toads are non-native and are a real problem for native wildlife. They were introduced by man. (How's that for an ever repeating scenario.) I hope people get out and kill every one of them that they can find.

In Australia and New Zealand I came to a better understanding of how stupid humans are. Rabbits, possums, rats... And I was also struck by how humans still are stupid. A woman on a tour I was on was appalled at the reported trapping and killing of rats in a wildlife refuge. She wouldn't stop talking about how the rats should be relocated. I was sorely tempted to ask if she was willing to take a few home with her to the States.

Of course, God has a sense of humor—we’re living proof. :D

Problem is, where do exotic snakes fall in the plague lineup? Burmese pythons have been a major issue in the Everglades for about the past ten years. They eat just about any animal that doesn’t eat it first.

They are an early stage of God's plan. Floridians were supposed to see them as an early warning and get with the program. The corresponding stage, whatever it was, in the Book of Exodus was omitted by the compilers when the OT Canon was drawn up (space constraints, presumably).
